A fascinating tea with an amber color. The bouquet is intense, spicy and a little sweet. The plantation is one of the most emblematic of Darjeeling. It enjoys an exceptional location at about 2000 meters altitude facing the Himalayas. From the plantation, one can see the Kangchenjunga which culminates at 8586 meters. The water of the plantation comes from two streams coming from these heights.

This Darjeeling Margaret's Hope black tea is grown in India on high peaks facing the Himalayas. Located at 2,000 meters, the tea plantations are irrigated by two streams that flow down the mountain. Here, nature takes its full rights. The difference with a classic Darjeeling lies simply in the cultivation land, the latter being cultivated at lower altitudes, but still in India.
This Darjeeling Margaret's Hope black tea is particularly appreciated by Darjeeling lovers.
Intense, spicy, woody, but also fruity, this very vegetal Darjeeling Margaret's Hope black tea will not leave you indifferent. It presents a very nice balance, to discover imperatively.
Darjeeling Margaret's Hope black tea is an oxidized tea and as such follows a very specific process: - withering; - rolling; - oxidation; - roasting; - sorting.
While each step is crucial to obtaining a high quality tea, sorting is important because Darjeeling Margaret's Hope black tea has broken leaves unlike many black teas that are offered in whole leaf.
This Darjeeling Margaret's Hope black tea can be enjoyed iced by simply adding a slice of orange. It is necessary to add a little more leaves than for a hot drink, count at least 15 g per liter and let it steep for an hour. Filter and put in the fridge.
If you wish to drink it hot, you should know that this black tea goes perfectly with a cooked cheese like Beaufort. For dessert, it is with a pear crumble that it is particularly appreciated.
