Who I am

I discovered India back when I was 20. I went there with my backpack as my only luggage, ready to discover everything the Country had to offer. This spices motherland became my adopted country, as did Nepal.

As I walked among the Vanilla, peppers and tea plants, I started daydreaming of me bringing them to people who couldn't discover them like I was doing. In a way, I wanted to bring a part of India to people who couldn't come visit.

After a long journey, I arrived in Kashmir where I discovered saffron and local producers of this jewel of a spice.
I was instantly beguiled by all the scents, people and plants that lied beneath this treasure.

After graduating and after a second trip to the subcontinent, I decided to move to England to learn how to properly speak English.
Then, I decided to go back to Asia for a year. There, I created a network and learnt everything I could about my future collaborator's culture.

In 2011, my partner and I moved to Guadeloupe. I only had 300€ to invest in Vanilla beans that I started selling along the beach, walking until I would reach the Bourg-de-Saint-Anne beach where I could drink a 7up at Coco Nak. And then I would start walking again, trying to sell my Vanilla beans for many more hours.

In the evenings, I would sell more beans on small markets. I worked tirelessly, keeping my goal in mind.

Thanks to the saving I made selling my vanilla beans, I was able to invest in Guadeloupean Vanilla and new varieties.

I flew to madagascar in 2012. There, I met with my collector and my producers. They helped me get educated on this wonderful product that I've been fascinated with since I was 18. When I arrived back in Guadeloupe, I kept on learning everything I could, thanks to my Guadeloupean friends.

2013 was the first year I could have a selling spot at The La Rotonde market in Saint François, thanks to Sabrina and Roland that I will never be able to thank enough. My passion was growing stronger and stronger. The only things I thought about were my partner and my plants.

Since these times, I keep on improving my bill of specifications and processes with my collaborators all over the world.
I receive daily updates on all my plants and producers.

My best publicity is my customers, friends and collaborators. They would all tell you about how much I love and care about my plants and products.
It's not my job. It's not my passion either. It's my reason to live, my life.

Every product you'll receive at home is a part of my history, a part of me, of who I am.
I truly hope you'll be as charmed by my products as I am!

All of my products follow the guidelines of my specifications :

  • The best quality possible.
  • My products are sold at a fair price. That way :
    • My partners and producers are properly paid and can make a living on selling Vanilla
    • We maintain the Vanilla market at a healthy level
  • I travel around all the world each year to meet each and every one of my producers during the harvest. That way, I can discover new products, new varieties and take part in harvesting.
