It is a great product that allows you to make vanilla powder recipes without having to grind your beans. But above all, it is a home-made product for which I mixed two qualities. Also, you find two different universes to make your taste buds travel and taste a unique product. My exhausted vanilla is finely ground to obtain a delicate powder that retains all the woody flavors. To accentuate its taste and seduce your palate, I decided to add a spray of Madagascar vanilla extract. Forget vanilla sugar and other poor quality powders for your recipes, bet on a very nice powder of intense, a few grams are enough to give relief to all your sweet and salty recipes.
I propose you here a very particular flavor with my mixture of two atmospheres. With this powder, you will find the floral and woody notes of vanilla exhausted while the Bourbon vanilla of Madagascar comes to bring intense, sweet and cocoa notes.
Vanilla is a wonderful product that adapts to all situations. The greatest chefs themselves integrate it in their cooking, vanilla is not only the partner of pastry chefs. Here are some recipe ideas based on Madagascar powder that are both simple and effective and will surprise your guests.
Here is a first association that seems surprising and yet works perfectly. Simply make a scallop carpaccio by cutting your raw nuts into very thin slices. Then heat a mixture of olive oil, vanilla powder and a little sugar for a minute. Let the mixture steep. When it is cold, pour this sauce over the carpaccio, add salt and let it sit for an hour so that the scallops take on the taste of vanilla. Serve simply with a green salad.
Prepare a delicious beef wok. Cook basmati rice. Cut up some peppers and an onion and fry them in oil in your wok. Add soy sauce and Madagascar powder and cook for a few minutes. Cut the beef flank steak into thin strips and add it to the preparation. Add salt and pepper and let it cook for a few more minutes on low heat until the beef is cooked. Serve with the rice.
Make your apple crumble by making a shortcrust pastry. Mix flour, almond powder, powdered sugar, butter and cinnamon. Place in the refrigerator. Cut apples into small pieces and place in ramekins. Add Madagascar powder with a little brown sugar and your crumbled dough on top. Bake for 15 minutes at 180°. You can add a scoop of vanilla ice cream to keep with the theme.
Madagascar powder, like all vanillas, is an antidepressant. It is also known for its ability to fight against digestive problems. Some also lend it aphrodisiac virtues like ginger and chocolate.
I advise you to keep this powder in a place protected from light and humidity.
