When it comes to vanilla, it is clear that variety is the order of the day. Let's discover this time the vanilla tahitensis, a product with a subtle taste that you will quickly adopt. This vanilla is produced in Tahiti or Papua New Guinea. Vanilla tahitensis is a species of orchid with thin stems and finer leaves than other plants of this type. It is a hybrid between vanilla planifolia and vanilla odorata. It differs from Bourbon vanilla by its roundness and specific notes. Take the time to smell and taste it, you will find notes of caramel, aniseed, liquorice, spices, musk and leather.
Much appreciated by great chefs, this vanilla refined tahitensis 10-13 cm S has a higher moisture content than various vanillas. Its atypical taste also seduces pastry chefs who wish to sublimate their preparations. The vanilla that I present here has benefited from a long refining process to bring out all its flavours. For months, in a wooden trunk, it has blossomed to offer you the best. A checker opened the trunks on a regular basis to make sure that none of the beans were mouldy. If this is the case, the offending pod is removed immediately to avoid damaging the others. The objective: to obtain, as always, an exceptional product.
My vanilla tahitensis grown in the Highlands of Papua is a treat for the taste buds. I could talk about it for hours as I am so passionate about it, but tasting it is certainly the best way to understand the complexity of its flavours. Split pod to remove its magnificent black beans, infused pod to flavour your dishes, it's up to you to choose the solution that corresponds to your desires, and your recipes.
Go to the kitchen with your refined vanilla and prepare the best desserts. Some of the great classics include homemade yoghurt or ice cream, vanilla cream, vanilla cake or crème brûlée. But with an exceptional vanilla, you can imagine many other dessert recipes: a wonderful fruit cheesecake with a tahitensis vanilla-flavoured device, a strawberry tart with vanilla custard or a butterscotch bavarois with vanilla fleur de sel.
Forget about industrial vanilla sugar, vanilla flavouring and other low-grade vanilla powder. A simple vanilla bean tahitensis refined 10-13 cm size S can revolutionize your desserts. And because vanilla is truly an exceptional product, why not incorporate it into your savoury dishes? With monkfish, salmon, chicken, blanquette de la mer, the possibilities are simply endless.

C’est peut être normal mais les gousses sont arrivées sèches donc un peut difficile pour extraire les graines de vanille. Néanmoins elles sentent bon et sont riches en graines.
