Vanilla tahitensis: heading for Papua New Guinea

When it comes to vanilla, variety is the order of the day. Let's discover this time the tahitensis vanilla, a product with a subtle taste that you will quickly adopt. This vanilla is produced in Tahiti or Papua New Guinea. Vanilla tahitensis is a species of orchid with slender stems and leaves that are thinner than those of other plants of this type. It is a hybrid between vanilla planifolia and vanilla odorata. It differs from Bourbon vanilla by its roundness and specific notes. Take the time to smell and taste it, you will find notes of caramel, anise, liquorice, spices, musk and leather.

A magnificent maturing process for a superior quality vanilla

Much appreciated by top chefs, this tahitensis +10cm XS refined vanilla has a higher moisture content than other vanillas. Its atypical taste also seduces pastry chefs who wish to enhance their preparations. The vanilla I present here has benefited from a long maturing process to bring out all its flavours. For months, in a wooden trunk, it has blossomed to offer you the best. An auditor regularly opened the trunks to ensure that no pods were mouldy. If this is the case, the offending pod is removed immediately to avoid damaging the others. The objective: to obtain an exceptional product as always.

How to cook with your tahitensis +10cm XS vanilla ?

My tahitensis vanilla grown in the Highlands of Papua is a treat for the taste buds. I could talk about it for hours, but tasting it is certainly the best way to understand the complexity of its flavours. Whether you split the pod to remove its magnificent black beans or infuse it to flavour your dishes, it's up to you to choose the solution that suits your desires and your recipes.

Go to the kitchen with your refined vanilla and prepare the best desserts. Among the great classics, we find the yoghurt or the home-made ice cream, the vanilla cream, the vanilla cake or the crème brûlée. But with exceptional vanilla, you can imagine many other dessert recipes: a wonderful fruit cheesecake with a tahitensis vanilla flavoured device, a strawberry tart with vanilla custard or a butterscotch bavarois with vanilla and fleur de sel.

Forget about industrial vanilla sugar, vanilla flavouring and other low-quality vanilla powder. A simple 10cm + XS size refined tahitensis vanilla bean can revolutionize your desserts. And because vanilla is truly an exceptional product, why not incorporate it into your savoury dishes? With monkfish, salmon, chicken, a blanquette of the sea, the possibilities are simply endless.

Très bonne qualité et odeur indescriptible. Rien à voir avec la vanille acheté en grande surface.
