Scented green tea - Ivresse - with Yuzu : for an exaltation of the senses

When the writer Louis Scutenaire said "I like drinking, but not drunkenness", he had not yet tasted my yuzu scented tea.

Drunkenness, a term often associated with alcoholic beverages, is in fact a feeling that can be particularly pleasant and harmless. It is a state of euphoria and exhilaration. All of our testers experienced this intoxication by simply opening this yuzu tea bag. An intense, bewitching scent that makes you want to head straight for the kettle for a taste.

This scented tea is made with green tea from China, the country of reference for the production of tea leaves. We have added lemon peel and lemongrass to give it a unique flavor that leaves no one indifferent.

If this tea is brewed in water at 90°, don't hesitate to let your drink cool down a bit, its flavours are even more intense. Plain or with a little sugar, hot or iced, the green tea Ivresse au Yuzu will accompany you in any season.

What are the flavours of the green tea - Ivresse - with Yuzu?

Yuzu is a citrus fruit from eastern Asia. It perfumes your green tea with its lemony notes for a rare intensity. Widely used in Japanese cuisine and in pastries, it is perfectly suited to a Chinese green tea for incredibly balanced flavours.

Scented green tea - Ivresse - with Yuzu: from the plantation to the cup

Chinese green tea is a non-oxidized tea. This is why it undergoes very specific processing steps compared to black tea.

First of all, it is necessary to stop the oxidation. This is what the roasting stage allows. The leaves are burned at 100° in a metal basin for only 30 seconds. This is enough to kill the enzymes present in the tea leaves and responsible for the oxidation.

Then comes the rolling phase, which consists of rolling the tea leaves that are initially flat. During this stage, a shape is determined which will influence the taste of your Chinese green tea.

Finally, the drying process allows the humidity level to be reduced as much as possible. All that remains is to combine yuzu with this green tea to make it intoxicating.

Très bon, très bonne odeur mais je m'attendais à un meilleur goût de citron. Peut être noter le temps d'infusion sur le thé.
