Black Tea - Irish Melody

India Tonic, Complex, Malty, Spicy

A tonic and complex tea, very pleasant at the beginning of the day. It offers us a dark, malty and spicy infusion. The Irish habit is to taste it with a cloud of milk and sweetened. It is also possible to discover it during your evenings at the end of the meal with a touch of whiskey... Irish of course. A selection that will delight the friends who love the green island and its generosity.

Black tea - Irish Melody : a gustatory journey to the land of the Celts

If you have ever traveled to Ireland, tasting this tea will bring back memories. A typical breakfast, a beautiful day beginning, that's what Irish Melody black tea promises you.

This tea is the reference for black tea lovers in the morning because of its lightness. However, our Irish friends also drink it in the evening after a meal. Always very epicurean, they drink it with a touch of local whiskey... to discover.

You can drink it plain, it is excellent. But some like it with a splash of milk and a little sugar. It's up to you to find the best taste for this Irish Breakfast Melody black tea.

Close your eyes and imagine yourself in the heart of the wonderful Irish nature while listening to local songs. A true moment of escape is promised to you with this black tea of very beautiful quality.

What are the flavors of Irish Melody black tea?

This Irish black tea sings its sweet melody in your cup. It reveals sweet and robust notes, even malty due to the presence of Assam tea grown in India. An invigorating tea to start the day.

Black tea - Irish Melody: from the plantation to the cup

Irish Melody black tea is made of Assam tea. It is grown in India, in the state of Assam, which is located in the far east of India near Bhutan and Bangladesh.

Like all black teas, it is an oxidized tea. Also, the tea leaves undergo more processing steps than green tea.

To obtain an Irish Breakfast black tea, after harvesting the leaves are :
- withered;
- rolled;
- oxidized;
- roasted;
- sorted.

Each of these steps must be scrupulously respected to obtain an exceptional tea. They reduce the humidity of the leaves and develop their flavors for a hot drink that meets your requirements.

Food and tea: David Vanille's pairings

Black tea is naturally enjoyed with small cookies, cakes, even chocolate cakes.

But we are not talking about just any black tea. Irish is quite typical and people who have traveled to Ireland know it. So yes, of course, it goes well with a sweet snack. But I suggest you enjoy it Irish style with a savory breakfast.

So my Irish Melody black tea pairs perfectly with a dish of Irish sausages, black pudding rings, eggs, red beans and bacon. You can also enjoy it with smoked salmon accompanied by brown bread, a traditional black cereal bread, or a Guinness bread.
