A mixture of spices and herbs that I dedicate to my uncle. I close my eyes and see Mont Ventoux rising in the distance. The melons in full maturity and the best tomatoes in the world, the result of hard work, that of Edouard. My aunt makes her remarkable pistou soup. Outside, the blazing sun amplifies the scents of lavender and aromatic herbs in the garden. I hear the soft sound of the water from the fountain flowing out and bringing us its freshness. At the foot of the weeping willow tree, I sit down and already dream of travelling through its mountains and the world. Like the Madeleine de Proust, this Provençal marinade blend brings me back to a sweetness that was and that the walls have known. "Oh fan!" exclaims my cousin. I was asleep and everyone is already at the table.

You remember both the good humour that reigned during these warm gatherings and the extraordinary scents that emanated from the grills and mixed with the laughter of children and adults

By proposing this wonderful Provençal Marinade Mix from my Uncle, my intention was to give back to barbecues and other grilling moments, all the culinary and emotional flavor that they bring to each of us.
It is a succulent blend of 8 ingredients that I have carefully selected to give a completely different flavour to your barbecues and planchas, aromas that, if you pay close attention, will make you hear some cicadas whistling, even though you are in Normandy, Brittany or on the other side of the world!
By combining mustard, garlic, chilli pepper and tomato, I have tried to give your roasted dishes a striking, spicy flavour with a rounded acidity.
The combination of thyme and marjoram will give your grills the Provençal flavour you expect, you will be transported directly to the garrigue, like a little Marcel Pagnol walking the paths of the Garlaban.

Ready to use and composed of ingredients measured in perfect proportion, this blend will be your ideal ally to prepare tasty marinades with Mediterranean notes as powerful as they are sweet in the mouth.
Beyond the aromas, marinating your meats will also make them much softer and more delicious.
How to use this Uncle's Provençal Marinade Mix? It's very simple, for 500 gr of meat or fish, you just have to mix 10 grams of this blend with 20 grams of water and 20 grams of vegetable oil (rapeseed or olive will give you the best results). All you have to do is place your piece of meat or fish (or vegetables!) at the bottom of a hollow container and pour your marinade on it. Cover and place in a cool place for at least 3 hours (ideally 24 hours for pieces of meat and a little less for fish, due to the natural tenderness of its flesh). Then all you have to do is grill and enjoy yourself.
You can also use it as a coating for your meat by applying this dry mixture all around your piece of meat or fish to be grilled.
This mixture can be perfectly combined with the sauce of a simmered dish
This Provençal Marinade Mix from my Uncle will essentially allow you to prepare any ingredient you wish to grill by giving it flavours that come directly from Provence.
Thanks to it, you can prepare delicious skewers of beef, pork or poultry.
It will also be very pleasant to taste a Côte de Bœuf that you can either marinate or coat with this dry mixture
Do you like to express your wild instinct and gnaw at the bones of previously roasted pieces? Why not prepare Ribs that you will also have coated with this dry mixture.
This marinade will allow you to give your grilled fish new flavours! From Sardines to Trout in Papillotes and squid skewers, you will have something to delight everyone's taste buds.
As you may have read above, this Provençal Marinade Mix from my Uncle can be perfectly integrated into a dish in sauce (ideally veal, pork, or a tomato-based dish) and possibly combined with a touch of fresh cream.
For more original recipes, you can slightly change the recipe of your marinade and, for example, use red wine instead of oil to prepare a dish made from beef or lemon to prepare your marinade to enhance your fish and seafood.
And if you are a fan of sweet and savoury flavours, you can perfectly prepare delicious white meats by preparing a marinade based on my Uncle's Provençal Marinade Mix with a little honey and water.
