What is gingerbread mix?

Let yourself be enchanted by the fragrance of this gingerbread-speculoos mix #2, the second version that was born from the suggestions of my customers. I wanted to offer you a more complex version composed of cinnamon, cloves, ginger, allspice and spices. We fly here for a world tour of flavors while remaining in the tradition with recipes from home. This mixture full of flavors will be able to be associated with all your salty and sweet preparations for a true gustatory experience.

What is the flavor of the gingerbread mix?

We discover here a mixture between sweetness and power with spices very different from each other. Yet they complement each other perfectly to awaken your taste buds while providing a comforting taste.

How to use the gingerbread mix?

This mixture will delight your taste buds in various preparations. We can imagine a mulled wine with gingerbread-speculoos mix, but also a variety of sweet or savory dishes. Let your imagination run wild, you'll come up with delicious recipes of your own.

Foie gras and gingerbread mix

It is well known that foie gras goes perfectly with gingerbread. Don't have any on hand and don't have the time to make one? No problem. Use traditional bread to make toast. Put some foie gras on it and sprinkle a little bit of the mixture (not too much so as not to lose the taste of the foie gras), you will be surprised by this association with the spices and allspice which boosts the taste of this starter.

Beef bourguignon with gingerbread mix

It may seem surprising, but my gingerbread blend can be paired with a traditional beef dish such as bourguignon. Make your bourguignon as you usually do with nice pieces of beef, potatoes and carrots. The major difference is that while cooking, add a little of this spice mixture and you'll be traveling while eating a typically French dish.

Speculoos-spiced bread crumble

For dessert, we could have offered you a gingerbread, but that would have been too simple. I prefer to make you taste this spice mix in another way. Make an apple crumble by first preparing the fruit part. Cut your apples into pieces and heat them in a saucepan with a little water. Mash them lightly to keep the pieces small and add sugar and gingerbread spice mix. Pour into an ovenproof dish. Mix softened butter with sugar and flour to make a sandy dough. Spread over the apples and bake for 25 minutes.

This mixture is best kept in a dry place away from light.
