It is with a sweet nostalgia that you remember your last holiday in the West Indies. Its white sandy beaches, its turquoise waters, the salt spray that reached your deckchair while you were enjoying a delicious ti punch..

What a treat you felt this lunchtime when you discovered these local culinary specialties! This grilled fish served with rice and a succulent Creole Dog Sauce ... Memorable!

You remember being surprised by both the name of this sauce and its flavour. The locals had explained to you that this accompaniment had been named after the knife of the eponymous brand that allows you to finely cut the herbs and spices that make it up.

The Sauce Chien Creole is originally from the West Indies and has the appearance of a mixture of green condiments, it could make you think of a kind of spicy vinaigrette. But it's much more than that. It alone is one of the bases of Caribbean cuisine.

I have chosen to offer you a Spice Mix - Sauce Chien Creole that is ready to use so that you can embark on a Creole journey in a jar-spoon.

It is made up of the 4 essential ingredients to be able to find those unique flavours: garlic, onion, parsley, hot pepper. Each one of them has been carefully selected in order to concoct for you a blend of incomparable flavours.

Please note that in the West Indies, two different versions of this blend can be proposed to you: without tomato (original recipe) and with tomato (which is a rather pleasant variation for this sauce that is found in many local dishes). It is up to you to choose whether or not to add to your preparation for Sauce Chien Creole or not.

Anyway, if this sauce is a discovery for you, I invite you to taste it quickly!

The Sauce Chien Creole is an essential accompaniment to a long list of dishes. Chien Chien Creole Sauce Mix can be your ideal partner to accompany or marinate any grilled item, but it will also allow you to try many other culinary experiments.

In order to treat all your guests around a barbecue, all you need to do is to combine a teaspoon of this mixture with two tablespoons of vegetable oil (rapeseed, sunflower or olive). This will allow you to present this blend as a sauce to accompany your barbecued pieces or to make a marinade. In this same form, the Sauce Chien Creole can also become a succulent dressing for all your salads and raw vegetables.

If you want to prepare a meat dish in the oven (roast chicken, for example), you can make a delicious sauce by tying a teaspoon of the same mixture with a skin of hot water and the pepper of your choice. The combination with the meat juices will reveal completely new flavours.

The original recipe consists of the ingredients I propose in this mix. Nevertheless, it is not uncommon to find recipes for Sauce Chien made with tomatoes. Indeed, this association is quite pleasant to the palate. In the same vein, you can also add capers, or cebettes to exhale all the flavors of this mixture.

This Creole Dog Sauce Mix is not only very practical to use but also relatively economical in its preparation. Also, if you have prepared this sauce in excess, you can freeze it perfectly by putting it in an ice cube tray. All you will have to do is take your preparation out of the freezer in case of impromptu grilling.

The Chien Creole Sauce Mix will allow you to accompany ideally all your pieces to be grilled.

Beyond the traditional Chicken Boucané that can be eaten the Caribbean way, you can concoct a delicious Creole Dog Sauce from this mixture to accompany all your grilled or roasted pieces in the oven.

Enjoy a piece of meat (beef entrecote, poultry brochettes, chicken drumsticks, ribs, ...), fish (fresh tuna steak, mackerel, ...) or shellfish such as lobster or a succulent lobster.

This Creole Dog Sauce Mix is ideal for making a dressing that you can use in all your salads, raw vegetables, and even as a sandwich sauce.

I'm going to reveal you a last tip that will allow you to surprise your guests: this Sauce Chien Creole that you will have prepared thanks to this mix can be perfectly used as a dip in which you can dip all kinds of chips, tortilla, during your summer aperitifs.

All that's left for me to do is to wish you an excellent trip to the West Indies!
