What is a rare pepper?

A rare pepper is, as its name suggests, a pepper that you won't find everywhere. Chances are, some of the peppers in my selection are totally unknown to you. And that's my challenge today: to help you discover incredible peppers you never knew existed. I like to go in search of rarity and excellence. I fell in love with these peppers just as I fell in love with vanilla. Piper is a fabulous product because of its variety. You won't find two identical peppers, and that's the secret of these spices. Now's the time to treat yourself to a pepper mill and peppermill worthy of the name, so you can grind and proudly serve this product to your guests.

Varied flavours to season your dishes

When we think of rare peppers, we immediately imagine a variety of flavors. Black pepper is reinvented when we discover Nosy Be from Madagascar. Its fresh, floral notes create a beautiful aromatic balance. Madagascar's wild red pepper comes from the island's primary forests. Pungent and mild at the same time, it subtly perfumes all your dishes. If you watch fashionable cooking shows, you've certainly heard of Timut pepper. A favorite of top chefs, this pepper comes to us from Nepal and offers totally unique grapefruit notes. This rare pepper doesn't wait to be tasted before you fall under its spell. It will thrill your sense of smell as soon as you open the bag. Also discover Kampot pepper. Black pepper or red pepper, there's something for everyone. I selected this rare Cambodian pepper for its subtle aromas and long finish. In Ethiopia, I discovered a passion fruit pepper. It may seem surprising, but it's spicy and sweet at the same time, adding an exotic note to your dishes in sauce and giving them another dimension. There's no need to go on about it for hours: this pepper can't be described, it has to be tasted. This time, let's go to Vietnam, India and Brazil with my blend of 4 peppers. Black pepper, green pepper, white pepper and pink berries, you'll find all the flavors of pepper in an absolutely delicious blend. This aromatic blend is waiting to be discovered. It's impossible not to mention Sansho pepper, a rare pepper I discovered in Japan. Its original shape, bewitching fragrance and hints of yuzu make this pepper a must-have in your kitchen, for both sweet and savory dishes. Cancel your plane tickets, the journey is in your plate. Java long pepper is one of my favorites. Spicy flavors, a taste somewhere between cinnamon and raw cocoa, woody notes, you don't need much more. But beyond its aromatic characteristics, this pepper stands out for its originality. It doesn't come in berry form, but in catkins. Piper Longum can be grated like nutmeg to flavour your dishes. Like vanilla, it can also be added whole to simmered dishes for added flavor. Selim pepper from Côte d'Ivoire is a rare pepper with notes of coconut. Just imagine it used to flavour chicken fillets with pineapple. It too is a long pepper, but this time in the shape of a bean pod. The list goes on and on, and I'll leave it to you to discover the variety of my rare peppers and choose the one that's right for your taste buds.

The benefits of pepper

Pepper is a spicy condiment that enhances the flavor of your dishes. It spices up the taste and gives it that incredible pep that makes all the difference. But did you know that pepper is also recognized for its virtues? On the one hand, it adds flavor and thus limits the use of artery-clogging salt . But pepper is also known to act on the stomach, small intestine and colon, promoting digestion. It facilitates transit and is very healthy. It also clears the respiratory tract. It is even used in Ayurvedic medicine to relieve colds and coughs. Containing piperine, it reduces arthritis-related pain. Of course, it's not a miracle product, but you've got nothing to lose by trying and tasting an exceptional pepper. Finally, pepper is rich in essential nutrients. A source of vitamins B, C and K, rich in minerals, once again, this condiment is very healthy.
