Let's start at the beginning, the Buffalo pepper does not really exist. It is one of my creations that I propose to you in order to make you discover totally new flavors. After all, this is what we like with spice mixtures, to discover different flavors and especially associations that we do not always think of. My buffalo pepper is the combination of pepper, rapeseed and spices. This may seem surprising at first, but it is not so surprising considering the comments of my customers who are delighted to discover new gustatory horizons.
This buffalo pepper offers a warm and greedy aroma at the same time. We find this peppery taste without assaulting the palate and this fragrant note brought by the spices.
Buffalo pepper will become the star of your recipes. This pepper will find its place in various recipes based on meat to cook in the oven, pan, barbecue or plancha. You will love its inimitable taste.
Beef carpaccio is a sweet and fresh appetizer that is very popular in summer. Give it a boost by adding ground Buffalo pepper. Slice your beef as thinly as possible, drizzle with olive oil and add pepper and salt. Garnish with a few pieces of Parmesan cheese and a little arugula.
Pepper goes extremely well with red meats. I suggest you try a barbecued marinated rib eye steak. In a dish, put olive oil and Buffalo pepper and a little salt. Place your meat in the sauce and turn it over so that both sides take on the taste of the marinade. I recommend that you leave this preparation in the fridge all day and take your steak out one hour before barbecuing it. Serve with potatoes cooked in aluminum in the embers.
I invite you to make a Pfeffernusse with pepper, a small cake with an inimitable taste. This spice cookie comes from Germany. Mix flour, baking powder, eggs, almonds, sugar, pepper, cinnamon, clove powder, cardamom. Add milk little by little to obtain a homogeneous paste. Roll out the dough to a thickness of about 1 cm and cut into circles of 3 cm in diameter. Bake in the oven for 15 to 20 minutes at 200°. When the cakes have cooled, cover with a mixture of water and powdered sugar. These comforting cakes will be perfect for the holiday season.
